Actually it was morning. We decided to take an early stroll along the Malecon to what we call Dog Park. It’s a part of the beach where dog owners let their dogs run free. We have often sat and watched the dogs playing and just being dogs. I thought the dogs would make for a fun post. Not that they come close to the perfection of Lulu, or our now departed friend CJ.
We actually met this guy outside a restaurant it’s the only shot that I took up close. The rest are all telephoto jobs.
There are many dogs in Puerto Vallarta. Sadly many have been abandoned (not this fellow). The good news is many of the visitors and expats here adopt rescue dogs. There was a notice in one restaurant – if you are travelling West Jet to Edmonton or Vancouver would you be willing to have a rescue dog go with you. We have dogs that have been adopted and need travellers to help them get to their new homes.
I am pretty sure this is a rescued dog.
But I’m not sure you are still a puppy!
This one was so full of personality.
Well my picture is a little on the out of focus side too. But I really like the dog, so it made the cut.
Hint, count the leashes. I’m not sure what Susan was laughing about, possibly a photo she had taken of me.
Dogs see a lot of legs here.
Once let loose on the beach the dogs just tear around, chasing each other and sticks and balls. There is quite a bit of sniffing too, but the censor cut out those scenes. Sniffing and sensors would be better.
Just look at the joy of running free and chasing things.
And some just stand and watch.
I know just what he means! Anyone have grandchildren?
Oh alright you little madam. By the way you have sand all over your face!
I hope you enjoyed this little canine dogleg.
